3) Give him some control in the relationship.

In the past, women were passive and men were dominant; women were expected to run the house and raise the children and men were the sole financial provider. Modern society could not be more different. A sizeable percentage of women are employed outside of the home. Many women even earn a salary that exceeds their man’s.

There is nothing wrong with being an assertive, confident, career-driven woman. However, men don’t respond well to women who are too aggressive or who come on too strong. Men want to feel powerful; they want to feel like they are in control. It is perfectly all right to cede a little bit of control to a man—give him a chance to ask for your number, set up a date, or choose the restaurant. It doesn’t make you any less of a woman. In fact, your man will probably appreciate you more!
